General guidelines

Thinking of applying for a City Grant? Here is what you need to know to get started.

- Your organization must be a registered not-for-profit or charity in good standing to apply for any grant stream
- Your organization operates (or project) must be within City of Prince George Boundary for the benefit of PG residents
- Applicants wishing to apply but are not a registered not-for-profit can partner with a not-for-profit in good standing to submit an application
- To be eligible for any grant stream, applicants must be current with all reporting including grant recognition requirements
- Projects that have already received funding from a grant stream in the same calendar year are not eligible for recurring funding. For example, if you received funding in the spring, you cannot apply for the same project in the fall.
- The grants program is unable to fund capital improvement projects on school property
- Funding is highly competitive, with limited resources available
- Priority will be given to applicants who have not received funding in the past two years
- While applicants are welcome to reapply, all funding decisions are final
Application Process
- To apply or check your application status, use the Online Grants Portal to create an account for your organization or log back in
- If a grant deadline falls on a weekend, the grant will be due the following Monday at 4:30pm
Stay Informed
- Updates on grants, including deadlines, will be posted on the Community Grants webpage and sent to e-subscribers (link to sign up is on this page)
- Successful grant recipients will be shared on the webpage
