Location: 3300 Memorial Park Lane

Memorial Park Cemetery is situated on 50 hectares of land at the intersection of Highway 16 and Ferry Avenue. Current interment options include traditional burials for both full-casket and cremated remains in our mausoleum, green burials, and private columbaria. 

The Cemetery Administration office is located within the cemetery grounds and meets with clients by appointment ONLY and is not open to the public. Cemetery gates are open and welcome the public seven days a week and open to vehicular access from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Location: 17th Avenue (Inside Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park)

Located in the middle of Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park is a traditional burial ground of the Lheidli T'enneh. The site overlooks the Fraser River.

Visitors should note that this is an active cemetery for the Lheidli T'enneh.

The Memorial Park Mausoleum offers indoor cemetery options for full casket entombments and cremation niches in an environment sheltered from the elements. Our Mausoleum can hold 100 crypts and 1,326 niches and is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Crypt and niche owners may access the Mausoleum year-round, Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with the use of an access card. Access Cards may be obtained from the Administration Office.

Green burials are an environmentally sensitive practice where the body is returned to the earth to decompose naturally and contribute to new life. The body is prepared for burial without embalming and is buried in a biodegradable container or shroud. 

A stone communal memorial will be placed within the green burial section with room for a simple inscription to record the names of the persons buried in the area.

Canadian veterans have a section in Memorial Park Cemetery that is marked by the Veterans' Memorial.

Created by the Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43, the monument is made with local stone mined from the McGregor Mountains. The Gardening Angels assisted the Ladies Auxiliary with fundraising and Jay Lazzarin provided the landscape design. Black Mountain Stone supplied the stone and the engraving was completed by E&K Stoneware.

Community flag placement

Every year RCMP members, Rocky Mountain Rangers, Scouts, Cubs, and family members visit the Cemetery to place Canadian flags on the graves of veterans and others who served the nation.

When the Prince George Municipal Cemetery opened in 1915, one of the oldest areas of the park was the Chinese Section where many new immigrants were buried. The monument there commemorates the contributions Chinese Canadians made to the community and region.

The monument was a joint venture between the City of Prince George and the Chinese community. It was supported by the Prince George Chinese Heritage Preservation Committee, the Chinese Freemasons, the Chinese Benevolent Association, Chee Duck Tong, the Chinese Student and Professional Association, the Prince George Canada-China Friendship Association, and many individuals, businesses, and other organizations in the city.

In 2016, the British Columbia Muslim Association purchased 54 burial plots from the City of Prince George. Memorial Park Cemetery agreed to set aside section 64 for the exclusive use of Prince George's Muslim community.
