Notice of traffic and pedestrian network disruptions - July 5, 2023

*NEW - Ferry Ave between Moyie and Ospika Blvd

• Will be single lane traffic, Wednesday July 5^th, for weed abatement.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

7^th Avenue and Dominion Street Intersection – CLOSED – Wednesday, July 5^th

• From 7:00 am to 5:00 pm for asphalt patching.
• Emergency vehicles and transit busses WILL have access.

Ospika Blvd between Massey Dr and 15^th Ave

• Will be single lane, Wednesday July 5^th and Thursday July 6^th for Milling Operations.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

7119 Harvard Cres

• Will be closed, Thursday July 6^th, for water service repairs.
• Detour required.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

Carney Street (800 Block) between 8^th and 10^th Avenue

• Will be closed, Tuesday, July 4^th and Wednesday, July 5^th for setting grade and paving.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

Chief Lake Road and Foothills Intersection

• May experience traffic disruptions, Wednesday, July 5 @ 7:00 pm to Thursday, July 6 @ 6:00 am and Thursday, July 6^th @ 7:00 pm to Friday, July 7^th @ 6:00 am for construction work.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Quebec St between 2^nd and 3^rd Ave

• Will be closed, every Saturday in summer, from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm for the Prince George Farmers Market.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

George Street in front of Wood Innovation Building

• May experience minor traffic disruptions, Monday, July 10^th from 8:30 am to 11:00 am for the loading of materials  into 3^rd floor Wood Innovation building.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Brunswick St and 7^th Ave between Hwy 16 and Canada Games Way / 6^th & 7th

• Will be single lane, alternating traffic, Friday, July 14^th, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm for paving in intersection.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Dominion St and 7^th Ave to 7^th Ave to 6^th Ave

• Will be closed, Saturday, July 15^th, from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm for Downtown Summerfest.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Union Street between 5^th Avenue and Zelkwas Avenue

• Will be closed, Wednesday, June 21^st to Monday, July 21^st from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm for ongoing construction installing shallow utilities.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Austin Road W between Kelly Road S and Crown Drive

• Will be closed, Thursday, June 15^th to Friday, July 21^st from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm for the removal and replacement of sidewalk and curb and gutter.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

5^th Avenue westbound between Lyon Street and Nicholson Street

• The curbside lane of w/b traffic will be closed, Wednesday, June 21^st to Monday, July 31^st from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm for the installation of BC Hydro infrastructure.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Intersection of 18^th Ave and Foothills Blvd

• Will be closed, Monday, June 12^th to Thursday August 31^st, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm daily for construction of a roundabout.
• Detour required. No access to Foothills Blvd from 18^th Ave. Pedestrian detours will be in place.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

3^rd Avenue between George Street and Queensway

• Will be closed every Saturday starting May 6^th to October 14^th for the Wilson Square Community Market.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Simon Fraser Bridge

• Southbound Simon Fraser Bridge will remain closed until Fall 2023. Northbound Simon Fraser Bridge will be reduced to single lane in each direction.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.
