FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Prince George, B.C. – The City of Prince George will recommence the Ontario Street watermain replacement and upgrade work from October 1, 2024. Road closures will be in place between 4th Ave and Lower Patricia, with work expecting to take two weeks.

This work is part of the $1-million Watermain Replacement Program. The section of Ontario Street between 2nd Ave and 3rd Ave is already complete. This work will provide more redundancy to the system as well as increased fire hydrant flows for the area.

Impacted businesses have been notified of the work, including any water outages applicable, and there will be no street parking available in this area during this time.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during construction. The City is asking people to exercise caution in and around the work zone and pay attention to signage and directions from the construction crew.
