Notice of traffic and pedestrian network disruptions - June 14, 2023

Weather Permitting – Ferry Avenue between Highway Off ramp and Highway On ramp

• Will be single lane alternating traffic, Wednesday, June 14^th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm for construction work.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Weather Permitting - 1^st and Tabor Intersection between McArthur Drive and Explorer Crescent

• Will be closed, Wednesday, June 14^th from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm for paving.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

Weather Permitting – Pioneer Avenue/Trader Crescent/Nugget Avenue between Ospika Boulevard and Pioneer Avenue and Portage Intersection

• Will be closed, Wednesday, June 14^th from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm for paving.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Austin Road W between Kelly Road S and Crown Drive

• Will be closed, Thursday, June 15^th to Friday, July 21^st from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm for the removal and replacement of sidewalk and curb and gutter.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

5^th and Burden Street between Carney Street and Alward Street

• Will be alternating single lane traffic, Thursday, June 15^th from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm for water valve repair work.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Queensway (1900 Block) between 19^th Avenue and 20^th Avenue

• Will be closed, Thursday, June 15^th from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm for sanitary lateral repair.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Domano Blvd between CHSS Entrance and Nicholas Ave

• Will have sidewalks and lanes closed, Thursday June 15^th to Friday, June 16^th, from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm for drilling holes.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Ferry Ave and Westwood Dr on East side of Westwood Dr

• Will have delays, Friday, June 16^th from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm for fibre splicing.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

5^th Avenue Eastbound left/Centre lane @ Tabor Boulevard between Pilot Street and Tabor Boulevard

• There will be a lane closure and a crosswalk closure, Thursday, June 15^th to Friday, June 23^rd from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm for Telus utility work.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

5^th Ave between 5^th and Union and 5^th and Moffat

• Will be single lane, Monday, June 5^th to Friday, June 16^th, from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am for BC Hydro work.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Brunswick St between 3^rd and 5^th Ave

• Will have minor road disruptions and closures of the sidewalk and bike lane, Wednesday, May 31^st to Wednesday, June 28^th, from 6:30 am to 4:30 pm for replacement of sidewalks.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Laneway between 5^th Ave and 6^th Ave from Vancouver St to Brunswick St

• Will be closed, Monday, May 22^nd to Friday, June 16^th, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for arial placing.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Quebec St between 2^nd Ave and 3^rd Ave

• Will be closed, Saturday June 17^th at 6:30 am to 3:30 pm for the Prince George Farmers Market. 
• Detour required.
• Emergency vehicles WILL NOT have access.

399 2^nd Ave between London St and Windsor St

• Will be closed, Saturday June 17^th at 8:00 am to Sunday June 18^th at 10:00 am, for a live music event. 
• Detour required.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Foothills Boulevard between 15^th Avenue and 1380 Foothills Boulevard

• Will be reduced to single lane traffic, Saturday, April 15^th to Monday, July 3^rd from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm each day for the removal and replacement of sidewalks.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Dominion St and 7^th Ave to 7^th Ave to 6^th Ave

• Will be closed, Saturday, July 15^th, from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm for Downtown Summerfest.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Intersection of 18^th Ave and Foothills Blvd

• Will be closed, Monday, June 12^th to Thursday August 31^st, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm daily for construction of a roundabout.
• Detour required. No access to Foothills Blvd from 18^th Ave. Pedestrian detours will be in place.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

3^rd Avenue between George Street and Queensway

• Will be closed every Saturday starting May 6^th to October 14^th for the Wilson Square Community Market.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Simon Fraser Bridge

• Southbound Simon Fraser Bridge will remain closed until Fall 2023. Northbound Simon Fraser Bridge will be reduced to single lane in each direction.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

  The following sidewalks around the new pool will be closed until the end of June.

• Quebec Street east sidewalk between 6^th Avenue and 7^th Avenue
• 6^th Avenue sidewalk between Quebec Street and Dominion Street
