Notice of traffic and pedestrian network disruptions - August 10, 2023

Northwest corner of Dominion St and 7^th Ave

• Will have minor road closures, Thursday, August 10^th and Friday, August 11^th from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm for glass installation.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Intersection of Ferry Ave and Rec Place

• Will be a 4 way stop, Thursday, August 10^th from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm for traffic cabinet repairs.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Intersection of 15^th and Carney St

• Will have minor lane closures, Thursday, August 10^th and Friday, August 11^th from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm for catch basin repairs.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Downtown Pool Sidewalks between Dominion, Quebec and 7^th Ave

• Will have minor sidewalk disruptions, Thursday, August 10^th to Friday, August 25^th from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm daily for sidewalk repairs.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

1215 Blackburn Rd N between Kovachich Dr and Mackus Rd

• Will be closed Tuesday, August 8^th to Friday August 11^th from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm daily for new utility services.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

4885 Zimmaro between 173 Wade and 194 Wade

• Will be closed, Wednesday August 9^th and Thursday August 10^th from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm for new Rogers Communications upgrades.

• Will be alternating traffic, Wednesday August 9^th and Thursday August 10^th from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm for installing curb and gutter on the island.

• Will be closed Friday August 11^th from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm for new utility services.

• May experience minor traffic disruptions, Monday, July 24^th to Friday, August 11^th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm for sidewalk and wheelchair work.

Boundary Avenue between Boundary Road and Talchako Road

• Will be closed, 24hrs, Tuesday, August 15^th to Friday, September 8th for water and sewer tie-in work.

Gunn Rd

• Will be single lane alternating traffic, Tuesday, August 22nd to Thursday, August 31^st from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm daily for Telus utility work.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

4288 Northwood Pulpmill Rd

• Will be single lane alternating traffic, Friday, August 4^th to Friday, August 25^th from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm daily for Telus utility work.

3^rd Avenue between Vancouver Street and Brunswick Street

• Will be closed – 24 hrs., starting, Tuesday, August 8^th to Friday September 29^th for watermain project.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

2^nd Avenue & 3^rd Avenue between Victoria Street and Prince Rupert Street

• Westbound lanes will be closed, 6:00 pm, Sunday, August 13^th to 7:00 am, Monday, August 14^th for milling.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

5^th Avenue between Victoria Street and Queensway

• Will be alternating single lane, 6:00 pm, Monday, August 14^th to 7:00 am, Tuesday, August 15^th for milling.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Massey Drive between Westwood Drive and Massey Intersection

• Will be closed, 6:00 pm, Sunday, August 13^th to 7:00 am, Tuesday, August 15^th for paving. Detours will be posted. Fire Hall on Massey Drive will have access in and out of work zone as required without delay.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

2^nd Avenue between Victoria Street and 3^rd Avenue & Prince Rupert Street

• Will be closed 6:00 pm, Tuesday, August 15^th to 7:00 am, Wednesday, August 16^th for paving. Detours will be posted. Eastbound traffic will not be affected by paving operations.
• Emergency vehicles NOT have access.

7^th Avenue between Quebec Street and Dominion Street

• Will be closed 6:00 pm, Tuesday, August 15^th to 7:00 am, Wednesday, August 16^th for road work . Detours will be posted. Buses will have access while operations take place.
• Emergency vehicles NOT have access.

9^th Avenue between Vancouver Street and Victoria Street

• Will be closed 6:00 pm, Wednesday, August 16^th to 7:00 am, 7:00 am, Thursday, August 17^th for paving.  Detours will be posted.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

5^th Avenue between Victoria Street and Queensway

• Will be closed 6:00 pm, Wednesday, August 16^th to 7:00 am, 7:00 am, Thursday, August 17^th for paving.  Detours will be posted.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

12^th Avenue between Victoria Street and Vancouver Street

• Will be alternating single lane, 6:00 pm, Wednesday, August 16^th to 7:00 am, 7:00 am, Thursday, August 17^th for paving.  Detours will be posted.

Vancouver Street between 3^rd Avenue and 12^th Avenue

• Will be alternating single lane, 6:00 pm, Wednesday, August 16^th to 7:00 am, 7:00 am, Thursday, August 17^th for paving.  Detours will be posted.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

9^th Avenue between Vancouver Street and Victoria Street

• Will be closed 6:00 pm, Thursday, August 17^th to 7:00 am, Friday, August 18^th for paving. Detours will be posted.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

7^th Avenue between Quebec Street and Dominion Street

• Will be closed 6:00 pm, Thursday, August 17^th to 7:00 am, Friday, August 18^th for paving.  Milling will require both lanes to be closed at one time, once they are done, fast lanes will resume traffic flow and job will require both slow lanes to be closed.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

15^th Avenue between Ogilvie Street and Highway 97 Intersection

• Will be closed 6:00 pm, Thursday, August 17^th to 7:00 am, Friday, August 18^th for paving.  Detours will be posted.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

Intersection of 18^th Ave and Foothills Blvd

• Will be closed, Monday, June 12^th to Thursday August 31^st, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm daily for construction of a roundabout.
• Detour required. No access to Foothills Blvd from 18^th Ave. Pedestrian detours will be in place.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

3^rd Avenue between George Street and Queensway

• Will be closed every Saturday starting May 6^th to October 14^th for the Wilson Square Community Market.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Quebec St between 2^nd and 3^rd Ave

• Will be closed, every Saturday in summer, from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm for the Prince George Farmers Market.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

Simon Fraser Bridge

• Southbound Simon Fraser Bridge will remain closed until Fall 2023. Northbound Simon Fraser Bridge will be reduced to single lane in each direction.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.
