The Prince George Aquatic Centre's fitness room and all fitness programs are currently unavailable due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.

Aquatic Centre Fitness Room
The Aquatic Centre's fitness room is open during regular hours of operation and
Aquatic Centre admission includes access. The fully equipped facility includes cardio machines, plate-loaded strength training equipment, and free weights. Unaccompanied visitors must be at least sixteen (16) years old. Visitors 13-15 years of age must be supervised by an adult (19+ years).
Fitness Centre Etiquette
Please be mindful and considerate of other visitors in the Fitness Centre and observe the following rules of etiquette:
- Return free weights to the rack when finished and avoid dropping them on the floor.
- Gym attire is required: closed-toe indoor shoes, shirt, and shorts or pants.
- Food and glass containers are not allowed.
- Violence, foul language, and abusive behaviour are not permitted.
Aquafit Programs
Take up Aquafit and get a full body workout in an environment that is also easy on joints. These water-based aerobics classes combine cardio and strength training by incorporating force of motion with water resistance in an effective exercise routine that uses all muscle groups.
Class Descriptions
Water Workz (shallow water)
| - Strength and endurance building program that targets stability, balance, flexibility, and co-ordination.

Range of Motion (shallow water)
| - Designed to help strengthen muscles and maintain or increase range of motion and flexibility in joints. Ideal for people with arthritis.

Cardio Pump (shallow water)
| - An intense cardio class that concludes with a stretch component.
|
Shallow Aquafit
| - A self-paced cardio class in shallow water that concludes with strength and stretch components.
|
Deep Aquafit
| - A self-paced cardio program with strength training components. A fitness belt is provided for added buoyancy.

Aqua Power (shallow water)
| - An intense cardio class with strength and stretch components.
|
Aqualite (shallow water)
| - A low-impact cardio class that specifically targets balance, core strength, resistance training, and stretching.
|
River Walking
| - A challenge of balance and strength using water resistance in the lazy river pool. Water walking is an easy, effective, and low-impact exercise that is also an excellent cardio and strength-building workout.

Water Running
| - A moderate to high cardio workout involving all main muscle groups while eliminating stressful joint impact. Participants must be comfortable in deep water and a fitness belt is provided for added buoyancy.
